LAUDERHILL, FL — Lauderhill Vice Mayor Melissa P. Dunn was appointed by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners to become a member of the Tourist Development Council (TDC) – an advisory board for Broward County.

In a show of unity, Vice Mayor, Melissa P. Dunn, Mayor Ken Thurston, and the Lauderhill City Commission shared with business owners and potential business owners in attendance the 10 resources designed to help them start and or grow a business in Lauderhill. This historic prosperity and sustainability model the city has created is called “Raising the BAR” which stands for Business Attraction and Retention.

Lauderhill Commissioner Melissa Dunn has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2021 CED Federal Advocacy Committee.

The commissioner was elected to a one-year term and will provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities. The appointment was announced by NLC president Kathy Maness, councilmember of Lexington, South Carolina.
